He founds a self-centered cult, declaring himself a god and demanding worship through false promises, positioning himself as a rival to the legitimate ruler Hermes. Driven by ambition, he directly challenges Hermes, trapping him within a circle of multicolored flames. Hermes escapes using astral projection, however, and recruits the Sea Serpent King to unleash a torrential downpour. This extinguishes Prometheus's fires and dismantles his power base.

Defeated, the townspeople he manipulated confront him with clubs, exposing his vulnerability. Desperate, he begs for mercy and attempts flight, but his fate is heavily implied to involve capture and retribution at the hands of his former followers.
