Description
Proist commands as one of the Four Generals of the Darius Empire, holding the title of East General. She originates from an artificial creation process designed to fulfill a specific purpose within the imperial lineage: to absorb a soul-merging device, uniting her with past emperors upon inheriting the throne, as conceived by the 16th Emperor. However, inherent flaws in her creation resulted in an incomplete soul, causing progressive mental instability and deterioration over time. This manifests as extreme emotional volatility, including a volcanic temper and deep-seated rage.

She shares a complex relationship with her father, the 17th Emperor, displaying a "Daddy's Little Villain" dynamic while ultimately exceeding his ruthlessness. In a pivotal moment, she accidentally kills him during an uncontrolled rage fueled by her Dark Flame abilities. Proist deflects blame for his death onto others and manipulates events to seize power, catalyzing her shift from Dragon-in-Chief to the series' primary antagonist.

Her personality blends strategic intellect with profound malice. She operates as a Chessmaster, meticulously planning operations that contrast with her fellow generals' methods. A faux affably evil demeanor often masks her true nature, projecting regal elegance that shatters under challenge to reveal core ruthlessness and Ax-Crazy tendencies. She demonstrates manipulative behaviors, particularly towards fellow generals Nouza and Vestaanu, with interactions sometimes carrying ambiguously bi overtones. She possesses a noted appreciation for human cultural artifacts, specifically Antonín Dvořák's music, even naming one of her mechs after the composer.

Proist's descent into madness accelerates drastically after her physical demise and subsequent resurrection. This process exacerbates her instability, described as returning "wrong" and causing a complete loss of sanity. Her capacity for rational thought diminishes, overwhelmed by hatred and destructive impulses. This culminates in her spiteful destruction of the soul-merging device intended to stabilize her, an act performed out of pure malice as her creator, the 16th Emperor, lay dying. Her final act involves transforming herself into an Action Bomb, detonating in a catastrophic blast of uncontrolled Dark Flame energy.

Narratively, she functions as the series' Knight of Cerebus, her involvement consistently shifting the tone toward darker, more serious storylines. Her arc explores the destructive potential of power unchecked by empathy or stability, positioning her as an existential threat driven by internal damage and her refusal to accept her artificial nature and purpose.
