OVA
Description
Kyoko Aoi, born August 18, 1996, owns and manages the Aoi ZIP Formula racing team. Her family heads a tea ceremony school. She initially managed the Aoi Formula team before establishing Aoi ZIP Formula during the 2015 season, demoting the original team due to performance issues. Her management demands high results, exemplified by temporarily firing Naoki Shinjō during an early slump and later dismissing him entirely from Aoi ZIP Formula before the 2020 season due to competitive struggles. She recruits Bleed Kaga multiple times, notably for his 2015 debut and full-season return in 2018. During the 2015 championship finale, she offers Kaga financial reward to impede Shinjō's progress. He refuses, leading to his voluntary retirement from that race.
In 2022, Aoi Motors executives impose strict conditions for her team's return from a one-year super license suspension: they must use outdated machinery (Ex-Superion Z/A-10) and win the championship to avoid disbandment. Kyoko initially withholds this ultimatum from Kaga. After Kaga accepts the dangerous bio-computer prototype Ogre AN-21 from Kyoshiro Nagumo, Kyoko confronts Nagumo over enabling Kaga's risk-taking. Concerned for Kaga's safety, she later attempts to destroy the Ogre before the season finale, though Kaga intervenes to stop her.
Following Kaga's championship victory and subsequent retirement, Kyoko resigns as team owner. She expresses hope that Aoi ZIP Formula finds a worthy successor driver. Her resignation is depicted alongside her disheartened reaction to Kaga's departure from Japan.
