Description
Rainheart is a genetically engineered human, third creation in Dorothy's Family Program and classified as the Sirius family type alongside designated older sister Rita. Though physically resembling a 15-year-old, his behavior displays marked childishness conflicting with his chronological age. This contrast stems from a fractured psyche housing two distinct personalities: a core identity manifesting as a fearful, gentle child, and a violently aggressive alter ego triggered solely by forced PPEC drug ingestion. Rainheart harbors intense phobia toward these medications, convinced they destroy his true self, driving compulsive clock manipulation to postpone scheduled injections—resulting in recurring 3:10 clock displays during violent outbreaks.

His primary abilities include pyrokinesis for fire manipulation and flame-wall creation, alongside psycho-illusion powers simulating teleportation and conjuring spectral "lava zombies" in combat. These skills facilitate his role as Dorothy's assassin. Historical records confirm his murder of Elsa Steiner in her bathroom, plus killings of Albert Steiner and Dr. Pascalle; notably, victims lacked burn marks, suggesting alternative methods or illusion-based fatalities. Birdman explicitly identifies Rainheart as the perpetrator.

At Babylon Hotel, disguised as a bellhop, Rainheart systematically eliminates nearly all occupants except maintenance worker Crovic. Actions include stuffing the manager's corpse into a sink and deploying fiery traps against Rion. Psychological instability surfaces through combat behaviors like screaming at grandfather clocks and shoving opponents followed by confused head-rubbing, indicating dissociation from violence. Rita directs his activities, ordering delayed attacks on Rion until Lilia's location is found—though Rainheart expresses eagerness to kill sooner.

During the climactic confrontation, Rainheart reveals his Galerian nature while tampering with a clock, expressing indifference toward his murders but terror toward Dorothy. He launches a fiery assault before fleeing Dorothy's medication command, pleading "it isn't time yet." In their final battle, he employs fire attacks, illusions, and summoned minions until defeat. A subsequent psychic vision shows Dr. Lem forcibly administering PPECs despite Rainheart's pleas about the drugs eroding his identity. His dying words beg Rion not to inform Dorothy of his failure; Rion later discovers the corpse.

Posthumously, Rainheart manifests as a psycho-illusion in Mushroom Tower, accusing Rion of causing increased medication dosages. His birthing capsule remains scannable in the Hand of God facility, displaying dormant imagery. Narrative elements suggest innate sadness and suppressed innocence, with Lilia psychically perceiving his underlying sorrow before death.
