Description
Rei serves as one of the Four Saint Beasts, embodying the phoenix. He debuts in episode 3, "Let Me Help You, Master," questioning Gorō Mutsumi about his bond with Tsubasa before compelling Gorō, via a trance, to ride a ferris wheel with her. This act triggers a ferris wheel breakdown that nearly causes Gorō to fall; Tsubasa conquers her acrophobia to save him, after which Rei departs.

He resurfaces in "A Dangerous Part-Time Job?," collaborating with his fellow Saint Beasts to deceive Gorō into working at an abandoned factory as part of their scheme to kill him. This hostility originates from Gorō's past existence as the sage Seijya, who stole divine powers from the Four Saint Beasts—including the Wings of the Red Phoenix—and sealed them away.

Rei maintains a persistent interest in Tsubasa, despite her resentment towards him for endangering Gorō. He is identified as the younger brother of Goh and brother to Shin and Gai. Visually, Rei possesses purple waist-length hair, orange eyes, and wears attire comprising a turtleneck, coat, qipao, and headdress.
