Description
Sanjiyan embodies the demonic consciousness of Parvati IV, sole survivor of the Sanjiyan Unkara race. Her third eye materializes on her forehead during peril or emotional upheaval, signaling her emergence in stark contrast to her gentle human-like persona, Pai. This entity wields devastating magic, projecting energy blasts from her third eye and transmuting human souls into immortal Wu guardians. Her power eclipses even the dragon god Benares, who shuns direct conflict with her. Yet these abilities exact a heavy toll, draining her into unconsciousness and leaving her vulnerable.
In "Seima Densetsu," Benares seals Sanjiyan’s consciousness using a demon snake forged into three diamond symbols. This suppression births an amnesiac identity called "Pa-bo" or Pai Ayanokoji—a timid schoolgirl devoid of Sanjiyan’s powers or memories. Later revelations expose this persona as Hua She, the demon snake itself, imprinted with Pai’s appearance and fractured recollections.
Hua She’s self-sacrifice shatters the seal, freeing Sanjiyan. Reawakened, she defies her pragmatic nature by gifting Hua She a new existence as the human Pai Ayanokoji, altering her traits to include brown hair. Sanjiyan then withdraws to her holy land to recover, leaving the dormant Pai personality inactive and commanding Yakumo to await Pai’s eventual resurgence.
Historically, Sanjiyan—youngest of her kind—crafted the Pai identity to endure immortality’s psychological burden. She was once betrothed to the demon god Kaiyanwang before his tyrannical descent, though her role in his sealing and their relationship’s intricacies remain unexplored. Her evolution from detachment to empathy crystallizes in her compassionate handling of Hua She’s fate.
