Description
Narsus, feudal lord of Daylam and son of nobleman Teos, spent his childhood in Ecbatana before inheriting his father’s title at age ten. Renowned for his strategic ingenuity, he shattered the Alliance of Three Kingdoms through calculated psychological warfare and disinformation, securing his appointment as chief adviser to King Andragoras III. His staunch opposition to Parsian slavery provoked his exile, leading him to a reclusive life alongside Elam, a former slave’s child he had liberated.
A self-proclaimed artist with notoriously inept painting skills—which he defended with wit—Narsus joined Prince Arslan’s rebellion in exchange for the title of court painter. His battlefield innovations, including terrain exploitation and morale manipulation, proved pivotal in expelling Lusitanian invaders. Though a tactical visionary, he prioritized mentoring Arslan, shaping the prince’s leadership and ideals, while maintaining a lifelong camaraderie with warrior Daryun, forged through mutual respect since their youth.
His bond with Alfreed, daughter of the Zott Clan chief, deepened gradually after he rescued her as a teenager, culminating in an engagement years later. Appointed vice-president and court painter under Arslan’s reign, Narsus continued advocating against slavery until his death during a clash with Hilmes’ forces near Zabul Castle in 325. Alfreed perished defending his body, their joint demise closing a chapter on his tireless efforts to reform Pars—a mission he recognized would outlast his life.
