Takeshi Suzuka is the captain of the spaceship Starlight during its maiden voyage in 2099. He presents a grandfatherly figure with white hair, reflecting his senior position and experience. Upon discovering coordinates to the mythical planet Odin, Suzuka insists on following protocol. He orders the ship back to Earth to report their findings, prioritizing duty and safety over the crew's desire for immediate exploration. This decision triggers a mutiny by younger crew members who lock Suzuka and other senior officers in the officer's lounge to seize control and pursue the journey to Odin. After the mutiny, Suzuka's position shifts. When some crew members later voice doubts about continuing the perilous mission, he challenges their resolve, accusing them of cowardice and urging them to proceed with the plan to reach Odin. Suzuka dies during the events of the film.
