Description
Dr. Kuron is an elderly Chinese medical professional and co-founder of Ogami General Hospital, established in 1936 with Dr. Kenji Ogami. He shares a long professional and personal history with the Ogami family, having been classmates with the original Nanako Shichigusa in their youth.
As assistant director of the Jupiris research facility, he holds authority, overseeing scientific experiments and directly managing the training and duties of Nanako Shichigusa (the third clone). His expertise includes specialized medical techniques like acupuncture, which he employs during conflicts, notably recurring disputes with the witch-like Komanechi.
Characterized as highly intelligent, analytical, and strategically oriented, he prioritizes logic and efficiency. He exhibits a stern demeanor and quick temper, particularly toward subordinates he deems incompetent, yet commands respect for his dedication and intellectual rigor. Socially introverted and emotionally reserved, he sometimes struggles with interpersonal connections, appearing detached or dismissive.
His actions include participating in Nanako's wilderness training exercises alongside Genki Udea, discussing Dr. Kenji Ogami's philosophies and legacy with Dr. Kyoji Ogami (Kenji's grandson), and actively joining a trap to capture the transformed serial killer Naruse Hyde, enduring accidental tranquilizer fire meant for the target.
He attempts friendliness with the current Nanako clone, contrasting with others like Kaoru Satsuki, stemming from his connection to the original Nanako. He maintains complex, decades-long dynamics with other older hospital characters, particularly his ongoing feud with Komanechi.
