Description
Lusheeta Toel Ul Laputa, called Sheeta, is a 13-year-old orphan bearing royal Laputian lineage through her name—"Toel" signifying "true" and "Ul" meaning "ruler." Raised in solitude on a Gondoan farm following her family’s deaths, she guards a blue Aetherium crystal pendant, an ancestral relic linking her to Laputa’s forgotten technology and her birthright as its heir.

Her appearance shifts with her trials. Initially clad in a modest indigo dress and white petticoat, she dons a yellow blouse and red pants after joining Dola’s pirate crew, symbolizing her transition into active defiance. Her dark brown hair, once braided with red ribbons, is violently sheared by Muska’s gunfire, leaving a jagged crop that mirrors her hardened resolve.

Introverted yet tenacious, Sheeta initially withdraws to shield others from the peril her lineage invites. Her bond with Pazu, a steadfast orphan boy, gradually erodes her self-reliance, fostering mutual trust. Though cautious, she repeatedly risks herself to protect others, such as urging soldiers to flee imminent destruction, revealing her strategic mind and empathy.

The Aetherium crystal defines her journey. Chanting ancestral spells, she awakens its latent powers: one revives a dormant Laputian robot, unleashing havoc; another, the forbidden Spell of Destruction, becomes her ultimate weapon against Muska’s ambitions. She grapples with the crystal’s duality—its capacity to preserve and annihilate—steeling her resolve to neutralize its threat.

Frequently captured by Muska and military forces, Sheeta bargains her cooperation to spare Pazu, masking her defiance beneath temporary acquiescence. Their partnership matures into equals’ loyalty, climaxing in their united decision to unleash the Spell of Destruction, dismantling Laputa’s armaments. This choice renounces her ancestors’ tyranny, affirming the kingdom’s original ethos of symbiosis with nature, embodied by the surviving garden and its guardian.

Her rapport with Dola’s pirates evolves from captive to kin, the crew embracing her as a surrogate granddaughter. She wins their loyalty through resourcefulness, cooking skills, and battlefield courage. In contrast, her clash with Muska—a kinsman exploiting shared heritage—hinges on opposing ideologies: she condemns his hunger for dominance and denial of Laputa’s deliberate abandonment by its citizens.

The story closes with Sheeta and Pazu fleeing Laputa’s ruins, their bond forged through sacrifice. As the fortress’s remnants ascend, leaving only its tranquil garden orbiting Earth, she embodies Laputa’s discarded legacy—choosing humble connection over hollow dominion.
