Description
Nylon functions as Duke Duralumin's primary enforcer and fiercely loyal subordinate, initially presented as a secondary antagonist. His tall, lanky frame and notably elongated, tube-shaped nose form a defining visual trait. He consistently wears foppish green attire, reflecting his position within the kingdom's aristocratic structure.

Nylon enforces Duke Duralumin's will through intimidation, kidnapping, and direct confrontations with protagonists. Despite carrying out these coercive tasks, his early portrayals highlight consistent incompetence and mission failures, leading to frequent verbal and physical reprimands from Duralumin. He initially demonstrates poor swordsmanship, though later developments show he achieves relative proficiency, yet remains inferior to Sapphire's skill.

Nylon's character undergoes significant evolution. Initially, he serves largely as comedic relief alongside Duralumin's son, Plastic. However, prolonged mistreatment by Duralumin contributes to his psychological deterioration and growing instability. This culminates in decisive betrayal: he assassinates Duke Duralumin during a coup and attempts to seize power by welcoming the invading proto-fascist X-Union forces led by Mr. X.

His alliance with Mr. X proves disastrous; the armored conqueror dismisses Nylon's authority, treating him as a buffoon. During the climactic collapse of Silverland castle, triggered by Mr. X's destructive rampage, Nylon perishes while wandering the halls in a deranged state. Alternate narratives depict him mortally wounding both Sapphire and Plastic before Duralumin commits suicide in despair.

The character appears consistently across the manga serializations and the 1967 anime adaptation.
