Born on July 9, 1930, he initially began his artistic career as an actor, appearing in live television dramas on TV Paulista in the 1950s before transitioning to voice acting in the late 1950s or early 1960s.

He is widely recognized as the voice of Professor Carvalho (Professor Samuel Oak) in the Pokémon anime, a role he voiced for several seasons including the Diamond & Pearl and Black & White series. In the Dinosaur King anime, he provided the voice for Dr. Spike Taylor, specifically in episodes 63 and 64. He also lent his voice to the character Gill in Bakugan Battle Brawlers: Gundalian Invaders.
