Description
Lynn Kaifunn, Minmay's cousin and manager, possessed Japanese nationality with Chinese ancestry. He previously lived in Yokohama's Chinatown and worked at his parents' Minsharou restaurant in Macross City before leaving Earth. His foundational pacifism stemmed from strong opposition to his family's move to South Ataria Island near the SDF-1 Macross, a vessel he viewed as central to the Unification Wars.

Reuniting with Minmay in Yokohama in November 2009, Kaifunn boarded the SDF-1 Macross. During the return voyage to Earth, he voiced consistent anti-military views, refusing aid from military personnel like Misa Hayase and disapproving of all armed forces members, regardless of role. He leveraged mass media to spread his pacifist message, frequently causing friction with the Macross military.

Kaifunn simultaneously pursued careers as an actor, martial artist, and music manager. He starred in the film "Shao Pai Long," where special effects-enhanced martial arts performances led the Zentradi to misinterpret his actual combat abilities. During production, he publicly declared a romantic relationship with Minmay, surprising many and contributing to Hikaru Ichijyo's distancing from her.

Captured with Minmay, Hikaru, Misa, and Roy Föcker by Zentradi during a Saturn excursion, Kaifunn was held on a Zentradi ship. An assault by the Meltrandi provided an escape opportunity; he stayed with Minmay while the others fled. After Space War I, Kaifunn's character deteriorated into alcoholism and abusive behavior, driving away Minmay and others close to him, resulting in permanent separation and his disappearance. Unverified post-war accounts suggest possible involvement with an imitation Fire Bomber band.

Physically, Kaifunn was 19 years old during these events, standing 182 cm tall and weighing 67 kg. His occupations included restaurant work, film acting, and artist management.
