Description
Golg Boddole Zer commands the Zentradi 118th Main Fleet, directing nearly 4.8 million warships. He exists as a biological command computer integrated into the core of his flagship, the colossal Gol Boddole Zer-class mobile fortress spanning roughly 600 kilometers. This fusion grants him direct control over the fortress systems but also becomes a critical vulnerability; destroying the command computer triggers the entire structure's disintegration.

He initiates hostilities by ordering his subordinate, Vrlitwhai Kridanik, to pursue the Supervision Army warship that would become the SDF-1 Macross. Discovering the spread of human culture—music, emotions, relationships—among Zentradi forces, he declares this cultural contamination a severe threat to Zentradi military order. In response, he commands his entire fleet to fold to Earth, aiming for the complete annihilation of the SDF-1 Macross and all human life.

During the final battle, he personally directs the orbital bombardment that devastates Earth's surface, leaving fewer than one million human survivors. His fortress engages the combined forces of the SDF-1 Macross, defecting Zentradi units, and the Meltrandi fleet led by Moruk Lap Lamiz. Despite deploying the fortress's primary weapon, the Gol Gantz Cannon, destroying thousands of ships including Lamiz's fortress, he meets his end when pilot Hikaru Ichijyo penetrates the command sphere in a Valkyrie and destroys the biological command center with a missile barrage.

Decades later, derelict Gol Boddole Zer-class fortresses remain operational across the galaxy, with roughly 1,000 still functional. One such derelict appears in 2059, serving as a nest for the Vajra species before becoming a target for New United Nations Spacy forces during Operation Wings of Farewell.
