OVA
Description
Ferio first appears in the Forest of Silence, aiding the Magic Knights in navigation and securing Escudo. He presents himself as a carefree, cheerful lone traveler, yet frequently employs dishonesty and evasion, straining trust, especially with Fuu. Despite this, he consistently keeps promises and shows bravery in critical moments.
He is the younger brother of Cephiro's Pillar, Princess Emeraude. As a child, he asked her to erase his memories of their relationship and his royal status to avoid grieving her role. She complied but gave him a jeweled communication orb. After leaving the castle unaware of his origins, Ferio wandered Cephiro, habitually confiding in the orb. He later returned, stole a twin orb, and was captured by guards. Emeraude intervened, claiming she gifted him the orbs, securing his release.
A skilled swordsman, Ferio wields a saber nearly his height proficiently. He demonstrates tactical ingenuity, such as diverting adversaries like Caldina through card games, and is an expert thief, evidenced by stealing the twin orb.
His relationship with Fuu develops across the series. He gives her one communication orb, enabling ongoing contact. His deceptions and associations with antagonists like Ascot and Caldina initially strain Fuu's trust, but his genuine affection becomes evident. By the second season, his feelings evolve into love, culminating in a confession Fuu accepts.
During a confrontation with Inouva as Emeraude's powers wane, Ferio regains his lost memories. Through the orb, Emeraude guides him to defeat Inouva, a strategy he relays to the Magic Knights. After her death, he returns to the castle as Prince of Cephiro, understanding her sacrifice and not blaming the Magic Knights.
In the OVA, Ferio initially appears as a villain aligned with Eagle, controlling insect swarms and battling Fuu. He later assists Lantis after overhearing his plans, delivering Lantis' sword to aid in fighting Eagle.
Physically, Ferio has green hair in a low ponytail, golden eyes, facial scars (one across his nose and an X-shaped mark on his left cheek), and wears a single shoulder armor plate. He later adopts white royal robes. His name derives from the Honda Civic Ferio, inspiring his hair color and scars.
