Bitter envy poisons Diana’s relationship with Elaine, stemming from Kenneth’s blatant prioritization of Elaine’s stronger psychic gifts.

Tasked with recapturing Elaine after her escape, Diana’s jealousy erupts into violence, culminating in Elaine’s death. Yet Elaine’s consciousness persists, merging with Diana’s cybernetic frame to form Genocyber. Dominated by Elaine’s psyche, the fused entity unleashes apocalyptic destruction via telekinetic storms, infernos, and regenerative immortality, erasing Hong Kong in its wake.

Centuries later, Diana lingers dormant within a shared dreamscape, her consciousness interwoven with Elaine’s. From this limbo, she psychically connects with Mel, a blind seer in a ravaged future, inadvertently reigniting Genocyber’s evolution. The sisters and Mel fuse into a crimson-skinned titan that obliterates the oppressive Grand Ark metropolis.

In the aftermath, Mel—now sighted and pregnant—is stranded amidst ruins with her comatose lover Ryu, while Genocyber vanishes into space. The closing imagery hints at metamorphosis: Diana and Elaine’s merged essence lingers ambiguously, paralleling Mel’s impending motherhood as a cryptic emblem of rebirth.
