Description
On Zoa Nebulis, known as the Masked Lord, acts as the Zoa royal family’s provisional leader and chief strategist within the tripartite ruling structure of the Nebulis Sovereignty. He dons a black formal suit, silk top hat, and a golden avian mask obscuring facial scars from Imperial weapons, along with the Star Crest near his right eye. Ruthlessly pragmatic, he champions total war against the Heavenly Empire, rejecting the queen’s diplomacy due to childhood trauma and conviction that aggression alone can secure victory. His tactics blend espionage—employing agents such as Shanorotte Gregory—and astral-powered spatial manipulation, creating “doors” for ambushes or retreats. In combat, he exploits teleportation to strike unpredictably, augmenting his non-destructive abilities with a blade.

Driven by vendetta, On mentors his niece Kissing Zoa Nebulis IX with relentless rigor, aiming to elevate her above rival heirs. He brands cooperation with the Empire as betrayal, punishing dissenters like Sisbell Lou Nebulis IX for allying with Imperial soldier Iska. His radical agenda includes fabricating conspiracies to discredit opponents, such as framing rivals for the queen’s chamber explosion, and spearheading efforts to resurrect the Progenitor Nebulis, seeking to overthrow the monarchy.

When the Empire assaults the palace, he duels Saint Disciple Risya before confronting Elletear Lou Nebulis IX, now a mutated force threatening both nations. Temporarily proposing an alliance, he pivots to eliminating her upon recognizing her destructive intent. Defeated by her evolved power, he shields Kissing during the clash, falling into a coma. His machinations endure, however, through prearranged plots: swaying political blocs and covertly furthering the Progenitor’s return.

Though admired for tactical genius, On’s fixation on vengeance often undermines his schemes, as noted by allies and enemies. His sole genuine bond lies with Kissing, whose growth he nurtures through merciless training. Comatose yet influential, his legacy fuels factional strife between radicals and moderates, leaving the Zoa dynasty’s fate enmeshed in the Sovereignty’s escalating turmoil.
