Movie
Description
Jenny Dolittle serves as president of the Hakuoh Academy Space Yacht Club during Marika Kato's first year. Heir to the Hugh and Dolittle Interstellar Transportation company, a major space shipping conglomerate, she navigates internal family conflict as her father and uncle vie for control; her father holds the 17th corporate position while she ranks 224th. Demonstrating entrepreneurial initiative, Jenny establishes her own interstellar travel company, Fairy Jane, which rapidly becomes one of the sector's fastest-growing enterprises. Bound by an arranged marriage to a husband selected before her birth, she later escapes this union with help from Marika's crew and her lover, Lynn Lambretta, the yacht club's vice-president.
Jenny maintains a generally calm, confident, and composed demeanor, though significant pressure can cause this to waver. She balances seriousness with friendliness and wit, particularly evident during her leadership of yacht club activities. Her responsibilities include overseeing pre-flight checks, space cruises, and emergency operations aboard the club ship, the Odette II. During a critical ghost ship threat, she coordinates the crew, approves Marika's tactical plans, and demonstrates decisive command in electronic warfare confrontations. She possesses prior knowledge of Marika's connection to the Bentenmaru pirate ship and expresses anticipation to witness space piracy firsthand.
Her appearance varies across media: light novels depict long blonde hair tied in a ponytail with a white ribbon, the standard Hakuoh Academy uniform, and a pink yacht club hooded jacket during activities; the anime features green eyes, long light green hair secured by a red ponytail ribbon, and often a black choker with a three-leaf clover tag; the manga shows long, wavy light-colored hair and the academy uniform.
After graduating from Hakuoh Academy, Jenny remains active in space transportation through Fairy Jane. During the events of the movie, she contacts Marika to arrange a staged pirate raid on her company's liner, the Begin The Beguine. This raid serves the dual purpose of providing cover for Kanata Mugen's escape from pursuers and allowing Marika to relay a cryptic message from Kanata's father, initiating the central plot surrounding Kanata's search for his father's legacy.
Jenny's background includes social connections like Gruier Serenity, whom she met during the opening of the Arnold Junction route. Establishing Fairy Jane exacerbates existing tensions within her family's corporate leadership but solidifies her independent presence in the interstellar travel industry.
