TV-Series
Description
Oda Nobuna, daughter of Oda Nobuhide, inherited leadership of the Oda clan and Owari Province. Initially mocked as the "Fool of Owari" by rivals, she possesses formidable strategic intellect and worldly knowledge. Her appearance includes a lean frame, heart-shaped face, brown eyes, and long blonde hair usually tied with a red ribbon. She favors a flamboyant style: a tiger skin waist wrap over black hakama with yellow trim, white tabi with zōri, and a green-blue haori worn over one shoulder.

Her driving ambition is to unify Japan to rival European powers, shaping her military and political actions. She manifests complex traits—ambitious yet emotionally vulnerable, approachable yet prone to violent outbursts when impatient. A formative trauma stems from her father's death; perceiving monks' prayers as exploitative when they failed to save him, she developed a lifelong hatred of hypocrisy and religious institutions. During Nobuhide's funeral, she scattered his ashes on a Buddha statue upon discovering retainers plotting against her. Her strained relationship with her mother led her to view retainers as family. She spared her rebellious brother Nobukatsu multiple times due to maternal pleas but resolved to execute him if he rebelled again.

Her first encounter with time-traveling high school student Yoshiharu Sagara was skeptical. She appointed him as a foot soldier after he drained a lake to disprove a dragon god and predicted Saitō Dōsan’s tactics. His unique understanding of her vision—shared only by her father, Dōsan, and a deceased missionary—earned her trust. She formalized his loyalty through a European-style knight’s oath, reflecting her fascination with European customs and firearms.

Their relationship turned romantic after Yoshiharu saved her from Asakura Yoshikage and comforted her following Dōsan’s death, sharing a pivotal kiss. They concealed their bond due to differing statuses, though rumors spread. Nobuna exhibits intense jealousy over Yoshiharu’s interactions with women like Hachisuka Goemon and Takenaka Hanbei, sometimes reacting violently. She appointed Nene as his adoptive sister partly to deter rivals. She possesses unwavering confidence in being Japan’s "most beautiful girl," often assuming Yoshiharu’s praises referenced her.

A defining psychological aspect is her "6th Demon King" persona, mirroring historical Nobunaga’s ruthlessness. Triggered by trauma—like executing her brother or believing Yoshiharu betrayed her—this state manifests as cold aggression, including temple burnings. Paradoxically, she becomes gullible regarding Yoshiharu; manipulated into thinking she harmed him in her sleep, she nearly suffered mental collapse. Yoshiharu acts as her moral anchor, preventing descent into this persona.

Across campaigns—Mino invasion, Kyoto march, Kanegasaki retreat—she unified Owari, defeated Imagawa Yoshimoto at Okehazama, and faced anti-Oda alliances. Yoshiharu’s knowledge of historical events (like the Honnō-ji Incident) and interventions altered outcomes: Saitō Dōsan, Imagawa Yoshimoto, and Takeda Shingen survived past their historical deaths. Despite his efforts, a version of Honnō-ji occurred, though he ultimately averted Nobuna’s fate through time travel. The revised timeline culminated in her successful unification of Japan and global diplomatic engagement. By volume 19, she married Yoshiharu, and they had a daughter by volume 22.
