Description
Sana Inui is a second-year student at Yuihime Girls' Academy and the childhood friend of Airi Sena. As president of the school's Nuko Club, a club for caring for injured wild animals, she joined out of deep admiration for its founder, Miu Amaha. She stands 148 cm tall with measurements of 78-56-79 cm, has red hair typically styled in a ponytail with an ahoge and a small braid, and possesses violet eyes. Her birthday is July 7 and her blood type is B.
Initially presenting a welcoming attitude toward male students from Kagamidai Academy during a school merger trial, Sana quickly reverts to her true disposition of disliking boys. She holds particular animosity for Shingo Uryū, often calling him "kuzu-mushi" (trash worm), which intensifies as she observes his growing closeness with Miu Amaha.
Despite her hostility, Sana develops romantic feelings for Shingo, though she masks them with jealousy and anger. When Shingo and Miu begin a relationship, she experiences heartbreak, believing that had she been nicer, he might have chosen her instead. She states that if Miu were to break up with him, she would become his girlfriend. This conflict is exemplified when she temporarily takes in a stray cat named "Shingo" out of jealousy, only to return it after realizing her mistake.
Her character development is more prominent in certain adaptations. In the original PC visual novel, she is a supporting character, but after winning a favorite character poll, she was upgraded to a main character with her own route in the PSP port. She later received a standalone game, "Mashiro-iro Symphony: Sana Edition," which expanded her storyline with new scenes, CGs, and content focusing on her inability to admit her feelings and her experiences during the school merger.
Sana lives alone with her mother, making her a half-orphan. Her personality is protective and she is a nature lover. She engages in stalking and is often subject to teasing by others. She tends to use "atashi" as a first-person pronoun.
