Emilio Baretti, a celebrated Italian singer dubbed the “Prince of Music,” arrives in Japan to headline a concert at Tohto Stadium. Overwhelmed by performance anxiety and moral conflict, he crafts a threatening letter demanding the show’s cancellation, addressed to his promoter, Luciano Carnevale, and manager, Claudia Bellucci. The note reads, “Cancel the live show and Emilio lives,” but his ploy fails when both dismiss his claims. While in Tokyo, he crosses paths with Ran Mouri and Sonoko Suzuki, who grow intrigued by him. During a visit to Tokyo Skytree, he attempts a perilous climb onto a high ledge, hoping to justify canceling the concert, but a sudden gust of wind nearly sends him plummeting. Conan Edogawa, Daisuke Jigen, and Sonoko intervene to save him. Confronted afterward by Ran, Emilio reveals Luciano’s ties to the Italian Mafia, which exploits his concerts as covers for black-market operations. Claudia, complicit in the scheme, reluctantly supports the crimes while valuing Emilio’s artistry. Conan unravels Emilio’s forgery, citing discrepancies like the hotel’s lack of Italian newspapers and a linguistic error in the letter—the Italian alphabet omits “K.” Emilio’s dread of performing stems from guilt over enabling Luciano’s illicit activities. After the conspiracy is exposed and the Vespanian ore conflict resolved, Emilio confronts his fears, delivering the concert as planned. He departs Japan afterward, leaving the incident behind.
