Description
Mikado Sekimura, a 20-year-old idol, embodies a striking duality: a polished intellectual persona masking an ardent otaku soul. Publicly, he exudes dignified professionalism, treating others with unwavering courtesy and gentlemanly charm. Privately, he indulges an obsessive passion for anime and manga, especially the magical girl series *Mamirin*, which he cites religiously and celebrates through extensive merchandise collections. This fervor sometimes erupts in animated outbursts, clashing with his otherwise composed exterior.

Born into a strict household led by a government-official father who prioritized academic rigor, Mikado faced threats to abandon idol work if it hindered his studies. His mother and younger brother offered emotional refuge, but tensions with his father escalated as Mikado defied expectations, funding his career through part-time jobs to assert independence. A turning point emerged when his father covertly purchased his CDs—a silent acknowledgment that fueled Mikado’s determination to persist.

Within idol unit MooNs, Mikado forges deep bonds, notably with Momotaro Onzai. Their friendship ignited during trainee days when Mikado, impressed by Momotaro’s dance skills, proposed a partnership rooted in mutual respect. Momotaro admires Mikado’s leadership and unapologetic passion for hobbies, while Mikado cherishes him as a trusted ally. With Tsubasa Sumisora, the group’s A&R, he shares a dynamic blend of playful teasing and reverence, frequently likening her to his beloved *Mamirin* heroine.

Academically gifted, Mikado juggles studies and idol duties with meticulous precision, though the relentless pace strains him. He draws inspiration from literary and manga characters to craft performances, blending creativity with scholarly insight. Beyond the stage, he cooks skillfully, sports glasses to correct nearsightedness, and commandeers TVs for anime binges. His room bursts with anime collectibles, complemented by a squirrel-themed persona symbolized by his mascot, “Mikadoctor.”

When pressured to abandon either university or MooNs, Mikado defiantly pursues both, spiraling into exhaustion that alarms Tsubasa and his unit. A climactic confrontation with his father solidifies his resolve to prioritize the group, culminating in renewed confidence. In later years, he imagines a lifelong future performing with MooNs, steadfast in his devotion to both craft and camaraderie within B-PROJECT.
