Yuragi Hakoniwa, whose surname translates to "box garden" or "miniature garden," is Kanade Amakusa's childhood friend and one year his junior. Her family relocated to America but returned due to parental circumstances, leading to her enrollment at Seikou Academy.

Physically, she displays pink hair arranged in two pigtails with dango-style buns and a small curly ahoge atop her head. Her eyes are pinkish-orange. She typically wears Seikou Academy's standard female uniform: a gray skirt, shirt, and cardigan.

A core trait is her compulsion to address others as "Onii-chan" (older brother) or "Onee-chan" (older sister). She declares herself "everyone's little sister" and actively seeks to "make" new siblings. Omitting these honorifics or being called "older sister" causes her physical discomfort, a practice she extends even to those younger than herself.

As part of the "Reject Five"—students ostracized for eccentric personalities despite attractive appearances—Yuragi retains some popularity among male students. She demonstrates strong acting abilities, particularly during the Reject Five's initial confrontation with the Popular Five.
