TV-Series
Description
Coredem is a golem-like Bakugan resembling Gorem and Clayf, first emerging as phantom data in Bakugan Interspace during New Vestroia. Marucho Marukura later gifted him to Jake Vallory in Gundalian Invaders, making Coredem Jake’s Subterra Guardian Bakugan. As a cloned Bakugan, Coredem lacked speech, initially disappointing Jake. His design features a helmet-like structure sealing shut during combat, a blue chest lens illuminating energy lines across his body, and dimensional holes in his palms that absorb attack energy. Equipping his primary Battle Gear, Rock Hammer, enhances his combat prowess and erases his pupils.
Coredem engages enemies with grounded defense and offense, manipulating earth by striking the ground to shatter Gate Cards and hurl rock projectiles. Across Gundalian Invaders, he fought in numerous battles: suffering early losses to Helix Dragonoid and Avior before securing strategic wins using Rock Hammer. He teamed with Akwimos against Rubanoid and Buz Hornix, battled Sabator to a stalemate, and defeated Linehalt and Plitheon alongside Aranaut. A pivotal arc saw Kazarina brainwash him into an animalistic, nonverbal state; under her control, he nearly overpowered Lumino Dragonoid via an Advanced Fusion Ability that doubled or tripled his power while risking his life. Freed from hypnosis, he aided Drago’s rescue and joined large-scale clashes against Gundalian forces. In the war’s climax, Phantom Dharak felled him in one strike, but Linehalt’s Forbidden Power revived him.
His abilities include cards like Phantom Blow (adding 400 Gs), Dimension Fall (nullifying opponent abilities and generating black holes), Plate Shield (creating forcefields), and Counter Exia (nullifying Gate Cards). The Advanced Fusion Ability remains unique to him, reflecting his extreme power amplification. After the series, he returned to Neathia and bid farewell to Jake.
Trivia notes his visual likeness to Optimus Prime, traits shared with the 5th Paladin, and ability names referencing GN-001 Gundam Exia. His brainwashed behavior paralleled Preyas post-Doom Dimension.
