Description
Sultan is one of Grandma Asmaa's three grandchildren in *Future's Folktales*, alongside Maha and Rayan. He lives with his family in evolving futuristic environments: first in Riyadh during 2050, then in Oxagon, a floating city within Neom. His everyday childhood and adolescent challenges prompt Grandma Asmaa to share traditional Arabian folktales from the Peninsula's heritage. These tales provide Sultan and his siblings with guidance, connecting ancestral wisdom to their modern dilemmas through parallel lessons. Sultan consistently functions as an audience and cultural knowledge recipient within this narrative structure, not as an independent protagonist. He operates entirely within the family unit, without individual backstory or personal evolution beyond this collective context. The narrative employs him primarily to transmit cultural values, with his reactions to the folktales underscoring their instructive purpose. His role remains uniform across both seasons of the anime series, without expansion into spin-offs, movies, or OVAs.
