Description
Goro Kumagaya, a tall middle-school goalkeeper, aimed for Yokonan High School and its elite football club. An accident prevented his entrance exam, forcing enrollment at lower-ranked Kawasaki High instead and disrupting his top-tier football plans.

At Kawasaki High, he joined skilled footballers Shingo, Hideki, and Kazuhito Oda. Together, they formed the core of the school's football club, driven to overcome its underdog status. Their focus became challenging Yokonan High and other elite opponents to sharpen skills and compete for regional and national championships.

Setbacks during training and matches revealed Goro Kumagaya's previously unrecognized natural talent as an ace striker. This discovery led to a permanent position change from goalkeeper to forward. The team harnessed this shift, turning obstacles into opportunities for tactical refinement and collective growth.

Goro's adaptation to striker became integral to Kawasaki High's strategy. The club concentrated their efforts on rigorous training, match preparation, and forging cohesion to confront increasingly competitive opponents throughout their campaign.
