Hiroshi Tsuchida is a Japanese actor and voice actor born on February 8, 1972, in Tokyo, Japan. He is affiliated with the talent agency 81 Produce. His career began in live-action, where he made his debut in 1994 as Saizo, the NinjaBlue, in the Super Sentai series Ninja Sentai Kakuranger. Since the late 1990s, he has focused primarily on voice acting and narration, building an extensive body of work in anime, video games, and dubbing foreign films for the Japanese market.
Tsuchida has portrayed a wide array of characters across many popular anime series. In the long-running franchise Initial D, he took on the role of Kōichirō Iketani in the New Initial D the Movie film trilogy, including Legend 1: Awakening, Legend 2: Racer, and Legend 3: Dream. He has a recurring role as Professor Platane (Professor Sycamore) in the Pokémon anime, appearing in Pokémon: XY and several Mega Evolution specials. In the science fiction series, he voices Susumu Yamazaki in Space Battleship Yamato 2199 and its sequel, Uchū Senkan Yamato 2205: Aratanaru Tabidachi. His other notable anime roles include the inquisitor Salomon in Parallel World Pharmacy, Masaya Hoshi in Platinum End, Allen in the Black Fox anime film, and J.J.
