TV-Series
Description
Sora Hashiba suffers amnesia after falling from his school's fourth floor, erasing significant memories. He possesses spiky blue hair and blue eyes, contrasting with his alternate personality Yoru, who has a distinctive amber right eye and slightly darker hair.
During childhood, Sora attended school with Sunao Fujimori and Matsuri Honjou before both he and Sunao were abducted by Professor Aizawa's organization. Traumatic mind-control experiments led Sora to unconsciously create Yoru as a protective alter ego after witnessing Sunao's suffering. Yoru exhibits a dominant, shrewd, and flirtatious demeanor, unlike Sora's easygoing, food-loving nature. During a rescue attempt by Shinichirou Minato and Kai Nanami, Aizawa mind-controlled Sora into releasing Sunao's hand, leaving Sunao behind—an event that later fuels resentment.
Returning to school with amnesia, Sora initially distrusts his new roommate Sunao, unaware of their shared past. He discovers Yoru through Sunao's alternate personality, Ran. Yoru and Ran share a deeply romantic relationship, causing Sora and Sunao embarrassment upon regaining consciousness after intimate encounters. Orphaned, Sora views Shinichirou Minato as a brotherly or fatherly figure ("Nii-chan") and Kai Nanami as a maternal surrogate. He develops a protective bond with Sei, a younger boy resembling him—later revealed in the games as his clone.
Gradually regaining memory fragments, Sora confronts his abduction and escape. During a final confrontation with Aizawa, he integrates Yoru into his core personality, deeming a separate protector unnecessary. Sora and Sunao reconcile past betrayals and develop a romantic relationship, solidifying their bond.
In later timelines, particularly the game *White Flower*, Sora becomes a teacher at the same school, replacing Minato. His story concludes by resolving the conflict against Aizawa and navigating relationship outcomes—potentially ending with Sunao, Minato, or Nanami based on player choices. The OVA features a fountain of youth incident where Sora and others are temporarily de-aged after he wishes to return to childhood, leading to comedic interactions.
