TV-Series
Description
Aizawa stands as the series' primary antagonist, a scientist and professor renowned for his high intelligence and complex research, notably in human experimentation. His distinctive appearance features dark green hair tied to the side, purple eyes, and a characteristic outfit of a brown turtleneck, gray pants, and a white lab coat.

Emotionally unstable and often expressionless, he struggles to process or display feelings appropriately, leading to intense outbursts under pressure. This instability hinders his ability to form healthy relationships, despite underlying care for specific individuals. His background includes a childhood friendship with Kai Nanami and Shin'ichirō Minato. Aizawa developed unrequited romantic feelings for Shin'ichirō, feelings which turned destructive after Shin'ichirō and Nanami became involved, fueling his lasting resentment toward Nanami.

His scientific work centers on DNA manipulation and psychological experimentation. He kidnapped Sora Hashiba and Sunao Fujimori as children, subjecting them to traumatic experiments that induced dissociative identities (Yoru in Sora, Ran in Sunao). These experiments explored personality fragmentation and control, leaving both victims with lasting PTSD. In a severe ethical violation, he raped Nanami, later using stolen DNA to create test-tube children. He fathered three sons this way: Kai Nagase (fusing his DNA with Shin'ichirō's, considered his favorite), Ren Shiina (fusing DNA with Nanami's, whom he disdained), and Kano Kozuki (using DNA from Gaku Ichikawa).

His antagonism escalates through manipulation and coercion. He recruits Nagase and later Sunao into schemes targeting Sora, framing these as revenge for past abandonment. In "Rain," he brainwashes Shin'ichirō into his subordinate "Minato," wielding this control to advance his goals. His operations culminate in "White Flower," where he kidnaps Sunao and Shin'ichirō, prompting a final confrontation. Following "Rain," he disappears alongside Sunao and Shin'ichirō; his ultimate fate remains ambiguous, with the anime implying potential death while game media suggests survival.

His relationships are defined by obsession and toxicity. Beyond his fixation on Shin'ichirō, he displays possessiveness toward Nagase and callousness toward Shiina. Interactions with Nanami remain layered with guilt and exploitation stemming from the rape and Shiina's subsequent creation.
