Description
Edward Grant runs a dedicated superhero fansite, possessing extensive knowledge of heroes and villains, particularly admiring Captain America. During a Raft prison tour, Loki's attack released numerous villains. Amidst the chaos, exposure to a damaged Biocode installer printed him with the green Biocode. This granted him the ability to "D-Smash" Power-type DISKs, temporarily summoning contained heroes like Hulk, though fear and insecurity initially made him refuse involvement.

Forced into conflict when abducted by the Celebrity Five, he partnered with Hulk after receiving his DISK. Despite this, he frequently felt inadequate, viewing himself as the team's weakest member, a belief reinforced by teammate Chris Taylor's harsh comments. Hulk's affirmation of Edward's value solidified his place. Edward's encyclopedic knowledge of superhuman abilities proved crucial strategically; he developed plans like using Graviton's powers against him and meticulously prepared for missions to compensate for perceived physical limitations.

Significant development occurred during the mission to destroy Red Skull's Gaia Anchor, guarded by Abomination. Separated from the team and aided by the Celebrity Five—who provided the Power Man DISK—Edward faced Abomination directly after Power Man's defeat. He lured the villain into a live power cable, causing him to drop the stolen Build Up Plate. Edward then used the plate to D-Smash Hulk with the Build Up Armor, defeating Abomination and destroying the anchor. Later, under Baron Blood's influence, he believed he was turned into a vampire and attacked allies. Iron Man discovered his evolving Biocode had blocked full transformation, leaving only psychological influence. Synchronization between Edward and Hulk, facilitated by Blade and Iron Man, expelled Blood's control.

When Biocodes were removed to prevent unforeseen evolution, Edward agreed, resulting in memory loss. However, learning the Avengers were arrested by S.H.I.E.L.D. under Dormammu's influence triggered his memories. He aided Pepper Potts in reaching the Avengers base to help Hulk. During the final battle against Dormammu and Loki, Edward used his fading Biocode to grant Hulk the Build Up Armor one last time. He participated in exposing Loki's sabotage of the S.H.I.E.L.D. cannons aboard the Helicarrier, restoring crew morale, and helped steal the Kree Mact device to empower Iron Man for the decisive fight against Loki.

Following Loki's defeat, Edward said goodbye to Hulk. Three months later, he documented their adventures in detail on his superhero website and began exercising to build muscle.
