Rasetsu is a sentient Yōma who first served the mother of Fubuki in the Senran Kagura universe. After Fubuki's mother—considered the most powerful Yōma encountered by shinobi—was sealed, Rasetsu transferred her allegiance to Fubuki. She became Fubuki's closest familial bond following the loss of Fubuki's parents, displaying profound protective instincts and unwavering dedication. Physically, Rasetsu stands tall with grey skin partially covered by black, feather-like structures. She possesses a lizard-like tail, pointed ears, orange or red eyes, white hair, a forehead horn, and a third eye on her forehead. During intense combat, she can transform into a giant, bestial state that amplifies her power but erodes rational control. Her history includes rescuing young Fubuki from shinobi who threatened the child after her mother's sealing. Injured during this intervention, Rasetsu entrusted Fubuki to the renegade shinobi Kurokage while vowing to return once healed. Over a year later, she reclaimed Fubuki from Kurokage and Yumi. In the anime storyline, Rasetsu appears beneath an arena where Crimson Squad and Hebijo Academy shinobi attempt to rescue the captive Hanzo team. She reveals her intelligence and capacity for human speech, later publicly aligning with Fubuki's declaration of war against shinobi. Leading Yōma forces separately during a subsequent invasion, she initially overwhelms attacking shinobi. When Asuka attempts to seal her, Rasetsu resists and unleashes her full power, transforming into a giant, enraged entity to fulfill her promise to Fubuki of using all her strength. Asuka, Homura, and Miyabi ultimately execute a joint sealing technique to permanently contain her. Within the mobile game *New Link*, Rasetsu's narrative diverges: she emerges as a primary antagonist collaborating with Shura. Her goal involves reuniting her group of sentient Yōma, including Yasha and Shura. After parting from Fubuki, she independently seeks to free Yasha from within Yūyaki. She later confronts Toki, a Yōma unsealed after 900 years, and engages in further conflicts alongside Shura. Her story concludes with a definitive defeat by Fubuki. Rasetsu's name derives from the Japanese term for "Rakshasa," a man-eating demon in Hindu and Buddhist traditions.
