Description
Frank Drake, the great-grandson of Count Dracula, bears a lineage stretching back to before Satan resurrected his ancestor. Aware of his tainted heritage, he initially fled his legacy until vampire hunters Rachel Van Helsing and Hans Harker recruited him for his ancestral ties. Reluctant yet drawn to Rachel, Frank joined their crusade, marking his entry into supernatural warfare. Armed with a rifle and aided by his hound Elijah, he endured a months-long hunt culminating in a failed church confrontation with Dracula, who overpowered them. Witnessing divine forces resurrect Janus—Dracula’s infant son and Frank’s great-uncle—into an adult adversary, the hunters pursued a depowered Dracula to New York and Transylvania. There, Hans sacrificed himself via a wheelchair-concealed bomb, destroying both vampire and castle, solidifying Frank’s shift from reluctant heir to active foe.
Earlier, Frank squandered his family fortune, accidentally revived Dracula while exploring the vampire’s castle, and survived the ensuing massacre due to his bloodline. A subsequent suicide attempt in London was thwarted by Rachel, who recruited him into hunting. Their romance later fractured under emotional strains.
Balancing human and supernatural realms, Frank’s battles—aided by allies like Blade and Doctor Strange—centered on confronting his lineage’s darkness, though his animated chronicle focused on thwarting Dracula and enduring their bloodline’s legacy.
