Dan Woren is an American voice actor with a prolific career spanning from the 1980s to the present, primarily known for his extensive work in English dubs of anime series and films, as well as video games and audiobook narration. Born Daniel E. Wathen on January 8, 1952, in San Diego, he began his voice acting career in the early 1980s.

Woren's career is marked by several iconic and long-running roles. He is perhaps best known as the original voice of Roy Fokker in the seminal 1980s anime series Robotech, a role that established him in the industry. He later took on the role of the stoic and powerful Captain Byakuya Kuchiki in the long-running series Bleach, a part he has continued in its sequel, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, demonstrating a lasting connection to the character. Another significant character is the marksman Daisuke Jigen, whom he voiced in the films Lupin the IIIrd: Jigen's Gravestone and Lupin the IIIrd: Fujiko Mine's Lie.

His filmography includes a wide array of other prominent roles across different genres and eras of anime. He voiced the villainous Jagi in Fist of the North Star and its film adaptation. In the Fate franchise, he is the voice of Gilles de Rais, also known as Caster, appearing in Fate/Zero and Fate/Grand Carnival. He has also been the voice of Cobra in Space Adventure Cobra - The Movie, Yang Neuman in Macross Plus (credited as Jackson Daniels), and Rudol von Stroheim in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Other credits include Christopher Eager in Farewell to Space Battleship Yamato, Dennis in Wild Arms - Twilight Venom, Major James "Jack" Bukhar in Yukikaze, the Narrator in an English version of Little Women, Frank Drake in Dracula: Sovereign Of The Damned, and Adamantus in Hashire Melos. He also provided the voice for Igor in the critically acclaimed video games Persona 3 and Persona 4.

Throughout his career, Woren has frequently collaborated with a consistent group of fellow voice actors and directors. In the 1990s and early 2000s, he often worked under the pseudonym Jackson Daniels. He has a long-standing professional relationship with director Jeff Nimoy, having worked with him on multiple projects, including various installments of the Digimon franchise and other series. His frequent co-stars have included Steve Blum, Kirk Thornton, and Mona Marshall, among others, indicating his deep integration into the Los Angeles-based voice acting community.

Beyond his anime work, Dan Woren has achieved significant recognition for his narration of over 60 audiobooks.
