Description
Yohane Asakura, born February 22, 2001, belongs to a branch line of the Asakura family. He and his sister Luca endured isolated, rigorous shamanic training from their father in the mountains of Kyoto, completely cut off from the modern world and social interaction. This upbringing left him physically frail but bestowed exceptionally high furyoku (spiritual energy), potentially surpassing even the main family heir, Hana Asakura, according to Luca. His father instilled a mission to eliminate Hana and supplant the main lineage.

Physically, Yohane has short black hair and green eyes. He consistently wears an all-black school uniform with red buttons and carries a black umbrella serving as his Over Soul medium. Initially, he wears a silver eyepatch with a star pattern over his right eye – later revealed as one of Asakura Hao's earrings recovered from Hao's severed head on Mu. After meeting Hana, he switches to silver glasses but reverts to the eyepatch in combat, adding black gloves and a red armband.

His personality blends shyness and social awkwardness stemming from his sheltered life, easily flustered by unfamiliar situations like attending school or visiting a modern mall. Despite an initial belief in his family's superiority and a ruthless objective to kill Hana, he exhibits underlying vulnerability and a desire for connection. Hana mockingly attributes his dramatic battle demeanor and speech to "middle-second syndrome" (chuunibyou). Following a truce enforced by Tamamura Tamao against their father, Yohane gradually shifts from antagonism to seeking genuine friendship with Hana, openly offering to protect him as his "first friend" despite their rivalry.

In combat, Yohane compensates for his fragile body with extraordinary spiritual power. His primary guardian ghost is Oboro Daikyoh, a masterless samurai spirit. Using his umbrella, he manifests Over Souls comparable to Amidamaru's "Spirit of Sword." Key techniques include:
* **Soul Integration (Hyou Gattai)**: Instantly merging with Oboro to utilize the spirit's swordsmanship and agility, classified by Tao Men as "speed-type."
* **Offensive moves**: "Tsukuyomi" (lunar-themed Over Soul), "Comet of Moonlit Night" (piercing thrust), and "Oboro Zangetsu" (sweeping arc attack).
* **Evasion and utility**: A "Shamanic Oracle" variation enhancing dodging, and the "Cloud" technique creating a Hao replica during a test by Yakumo Nakaizumi.
He demonstrates tactical synergy with Luca, combining their Over Souls into "Gion Integration" for coordinated assaults.

Yohane's arc evolves from isolated antagonist to reluctant ally. After Hana breaks his arm in their first fight, he assists Luca in a near-fatal ambush, retreating when Alumi Niumbirch intervenes. The truce leads to his enrollment in Hana's school, where he navigates social naivety – excited by classmates' attention – while bonding with Hana during activities like skipping school or visiting a cemetery. His loyalty to Luca remains central; he defends her when she appears manipulated and expresses gratitude for her protection. Later, he joins Team Hao for the Flower of Maize tournament, unaware of his role until Alumi designates him. Throughout subsequent battles, like aiding Hana against Tao Men, Yohane prioritizes his newfound friendships and team objectives over past vendettas.

His relationships are pivotal: a close, protective bond with Luca; Hana evolving from target to confidant; Alumi alternately rescuing him (notably from Hana's rampaging Yami-Oni) and embarrassing him with blunt remarks. At Funbari Onsen, waitresses' fascination with his resemblance to Hao leads to comical attempts to alter his appearance. Yohane concludes the Flowers narrative participating in the Flower of Maize, symbolizing his integration into a broader shamanic community.
