TV-Series
Description
Kasha is a powerful Ayakashi from Japanese folklore. Within the series, he resembles a humanoid cat-demon possessing a feline or tiger-like head and a perpetually burning tail. He exhibits superhuman strength and fights primarily using razor-sharp claws. His core role centers on being the primary rival and obsessive adversary of Aoi Nanamori, the Nue and guardian of Momochi House, a rivalry fueling most of his interactions with the household despite his veiled motives.

He frequently instigates conflict or appears during significant disruptions, his arrival typically heralding major trouble for the Momochi House residents. Despite this antagonism, he demonstrates a capacity for selective assistance, particularly towards Himari Momochi. He provides cryptic guidance to free her from mirror confinement and later offers indirect advice on navigating spiritual realms to reach the captured Aoi and shikigami. These actions imply complex motivations beyond simple hostility, though his reasons for aiding Himari remain undefined.

A pivotal confrontation sees Kasha wield a specialized weapon against Himari—a gun that forcibly separates soul from body without causing physical death. This act enables him to abduct Aoi amidst the chaos. He transports Aoi to a secluded realm and orchestrates a distorted ritual resembling a wedding ceremony between Aoi's Nue form and Himari, intending to forcibly transform Himari into an Ayakashi. This sequence reveals his manipulative tactics and deep-seated fixation on Aoi's power and identity. The encounter also prompts Himari to investigate Kasha's history with Aoi, hinting at a partially obscured shared or interconnected past.

Kasha employs psychological manipulation and elaborate schemes, such as creating illusory duplicates of Aoi to disorient pursuers within his domain. His influence extends beyond direct combat, often exploiting the spiritual vulnerabilities of Momochi House and its occupants. While his background prior to the series lacks detail, his actions consistently establish him as a high-ranking and feared entity among Ayakashi, one who thrives on sowing discord and testing the Momochi guardians' limits.
