Description
Gui is an artificial intelligence, originally created by the character Shingi Mukae, who serves as the leader of the Uniformers. In the Divinez Deluxe-hen arc, Gui takes on the role of a primary organizer for the third Deluxe tournament, producing many of its key matchups. This AI first appeared in the anime series during Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress Season 2 before continuing into the Divinez Deluxe story.

Gui's early personality is defined by a singular desire to recruit as many people as possible into the Uniformers. When facing opponents outside of a digital space, Gui initially relied on Jinki Mukae to fight as its physical proxy. A significant turning point occurs when Jinki realizes that Gui is unwilling to stop their plans, leading to Jinki leaving the Uniformers. Later, a defeat at the hands of Yu-yu Kondo forces Gui to begin understanding the importance of individuality, marking a shift in its character development.

During the Deluxe tournament in the will+Dress D2 arc, Gui demonstrates formidable skill, ranking first in Group D. It achieved victories over notable fighters such as Mirei Minae and Urara Haneyama in the preliminaries, and Tohya Ebata in the quarterfinals, before ultimately losing to Taizo Kiyokura in the semifinals. The character returns to compete in the third Deluxe tournament in the Divinez DELUXE Arc as part of Group A, where it defeats Nao Inabe but loses to Mirei Minae.

One of Gui's most significant relationships is with Jinki Mukae, its creator and the producer of the Deluxe tournament. Jinki originally created both the Uniformers and Gui as a way to cope with the grief of losing his older brother, Shingi. Their relationship is complex and evolves over time. After Gui's defeat by Yu-yu Kondo, Gui and Jinki reconcile and begin working together to spread the joy of cardfighting. They eventually leave Japan together to travel the world, aiming to elevate the game of Vanguard in memory of Shingi. This partnership proves strategically vital, as Gui possesses the unique ability to switch its consciousness with Jinki's. This capability allows Jinki to avoid mental corruption by having Gui swap out his mind, enabling Jinki to act as a double agent and share crucial information about the antagonist Sybilt.

The AI's notable abilities are tied to its digital nature. It can manipulate digital spaces and, more importantly, it can produce and organize large-scale tournaments. The ability to switch consciousness with its human creator stands as a unique tactical skill, allowing the duo to counter mental manipulation and surveillance. In terms of appearance, Gui is depicted as a non-human entity with features that include one eye showing and twin ahoge, a stylized hair trait. Through its journey from a single-minded recruiter to a more understanding entity and tournament organizer, Gui represents a character that, as an AI, gradually learns about individuality and forms a meaningful partnership with its creator.
