TV-Series
Description
Tsubasa is a primary Hikarian from Planet Hikarian, an energy-based lifeform requiring mechanical train bodies for sustained operation. He transforms from the 400 Series Shinkansen bullet train using the command "Hikarian Change!" and holds the designation JHR002 within the Japan Hikarian Railroad (JHR). As a combatant against the Blatcher Gang, he operates alongside fellow Hikarians like Nozomi, his closest companion and frequent mission partner. His duties include patrolling designated rail sectors, often coordinating with units such as E4 Power.
Courageous and dependable, Tsubasa harbors a notable fear of ghosts and supernatural phenomena, which once caused him to refuse a mission involving spectral activity on his patrol route. He exhibits a protective instinct, particularly towards the younger Hikarian K-kun, mentoring him in a brotherly role. In combat, Tsubasa utilizes specialized weaponry including the Slasher Wing blades and the Wind Shield for defense, leveraging his agility in confined spaces and elevated terrain.
Throughout the series, Tsubasa develops in both capabilities and resolve. Initially reliant on Nozomi during operations, he gradually demonstrates increased independence and tactical proficiency. A significant moment occurs in episode 108, where he collaborates with Nozomi to execute a combined firebird technique that defeats the Blatcher Gang leader, showcasing his growth. Following the conflict's resolution, Tsubasa departs Earth with the disbanded JHR due to the cessation of alien threats. He does not appear in the sequel series "Lightning Attack Express Hikarian."
