Description
Musashi, called Jessie in English adaptations, features prominently across the Pokémon anime, notably in "Black and White: Rival Destinies." She serves as the confident leader of the Team Rocket trio with Kojiro (James) and Nyarth (Meowth), granting her teammates leeway for side activities while maintaining authority over their missions, including the persistent pursuit of Satoshi's (Ash's) Pikachu across various regions.

Her distinct appearance showcases very long magenta hair styled in a comet-tail, always adorned with large green pearl earrings. Throughout the Unova arc, she wears a unique Team Rocket ensemble: a short black crop top revealing her midriff layered under a short-sleeved white high-collared crop top marked with a red "R," paired with a short white miniskirt, gray high-heeled thigh-high boots, and shoulder-length gray gloves. Following a promotion to "Advanced Agent" status early in Unova, Musashi adopts a calmer, more collected, and professionally villainous demeanor compared to earlier regions, though she retains a mean streak against protagonists. This period also sees her temporarily replace her signature "twinkle in the sky" exits with strategic smoke pellet escapes after failed operations.

Personality-wise, Musashi is short-tempered, vain, and diabolical. She fiercely values her beauty and long hair, reacting with violent outrage to any damage or insult directed at them. She frequently claims ownership of others' possessions or Pokémon with declarations like "Your things are mine, my things are still mine," often underestimating opponents due to pride. Despite this, she demonstrates genuine care for her own Pokémon partners. She displays a preference for snake-like species such as Arbok and Seviper, Poison-types broadly, and holds strong favoritism toward Dratini and Smoochum.

A significant Unova mission involves her pursuit of the Mythical Pokémon Meloetta under Giovanni's orders to exploit its voice for nefarious purposes, concluding unsuccessfully. In another key episode, she participates in stealing a Cover Fossil from researcher Ferris. After Team Rocket restores it into Tirtouga, she battles protagonists using Woobat and Yamask to recapture the evolved Carracosta at the "Time Gate" beneath Twist Mountain, aiming to stabilize a space-time warp for accessing ancient Pokémon; this plan is thwarted by wild Carracosta.

Musashi shares a close yet occasionally strained partnership with Kojiro and Nyarth, frequently relying on the latter for Pokémon language translation. Her long-standing rivalry with fellow Team Rocket agent Cassidy is pronounced, mirroring protagonist rivalries in intensity. Following the failure of Operation Tempest (Giovanni's scheme to control the Forces of Nature via Meloetta and the Reveal Glass), her "Advanced Agent" status concludes, and her personality largely reverts to its pre-Unova characterization.

Her Unova battle tactics often feature Woobat and Yamask, employing moves like Gust, Air Slash, Shadow Ball, Night Shade, Will-O'-Wisp, and Haze during confrontations with Satoshi and his companions.
