Description
Enju, alternatively romanized as Enjyu, has deep red spiky hair, light blue eyes, and a prominent facial scar. He wears a purple jumpsuit featuring lightning motifs, plus gloves and boots, with design variations involving shorts or pants across different story arcs. He stands 167cm tall, weighs 45kg, and has blood type RH- A.

Initially cold and power-centric, Enju operated as a loner, valuing strength above all. This aligned with a sadistic streak, evident when he struck down Liena. However, emotional vulnerability surfaced during pivotal moments, like reuniting with his father. His cynicism stems from childhood trauma: forced by his father Taiju to intentionally lose B-Daman matches for money, he faced public disqualification and cheating accusations in a junior tournament after refusing, orchestrated by his former friend Cornell. This betrayal embittered him and changed his hair color from medium blue to deep red.

Recruited by the Shadow Alliance, he received the B-Daman Lightning Kahn, an advanced counterpart to Yamato’s Cobalt Blade. As a villain, he dominated opponents like Berkhart and Wen Yong Fa through superior skill and psychological torment. He later infiltrated the Neo Shadow Alliance as a fake defector to dismantle it from within, resorting to uncharacteristic begging to secure Li Yong Fa’s cooperation. His redemption culminated during the IBA Winners Tournament finals against Yamato, where he initially used the enhanced Blazing Kahn granted by Marda B’s dark magic. After 40 grueling rounds, Yamato’s victory and subsequent rescue from Ababa’s retaliation catalyzed Enju’s shift toward fairness and alliance with Yamato’s group.

In later conflicts, specifically during the Hunt for Marda B, he orchestrated his capture to infiltrate the enemy stronghold, destroyed Terry McScotty’s Wing Ninja in a staged battle, and stole Marda B’s B-Energy before being brainwashed upon defeat by Marda Biarce. Freed after Terry defeated him in this controlled state, he joined the collective effort to defeat Marda Biarce. Manga depictions include flashy motorcycle entrances and tactical support during battles against Cain, Joshua, and Biarce at B-DaWorld.
