Minagi Tohno attends Private Kaginado Academy, featured in the crossover series *Kaginado* with characters from multiple Key visual novels. Her design and reserved, introverted personality originated in *Air*, depicting her as a 16-17-year-old student. She possesses a slender build, standing 169 cm tall and weighing 48 kg, with grayish-brown hair tied by blue bows and reddish-pink eyes. Her background involves significant familial trauma. Her parents separated after her mother suffered a miscarriage, losing an unborn daughter named Michiru. This caused Minagi's mother to develop a delusion that Minagi didn't exist, believing instead that Michiru lived. Consequently, Minagi's mother referred to her solely as "Michiru." Minagi coped by becoming emotionally withdrawn, finding solace in astronomy and an imaginary friend also named Michiru. Academically, Minagi excels as the top student. She is the sole member and president of the Astronomy Club, reflecting her passion for stargazing. She takes pride in her height, viewing it as an advantage bringing her closer to the sky. Her shyness limits social interactions; Michiru remained her only confidant until meeting the wanderer Yukito Kunisaki. She invites Yukito to join the Astronomy Club, initiating her gradual emotional opening. Her story arc culminates when Yukito helps her confront her family situation. After her mother witnesses Minagi with Yukito, the delusion shatters, forcing her to acknowledge reality. Minagi's mother recovers but temporarily forgets Minagi entirely, leading Minagi to briefly run away and live with Yukito at a train station. Upon returning home, her mother accepts the truth. Michiru—revealed as a wandering spirit who took form to comfort Minagi—disappears after declaring her mission complete. Minagi later learns her father remarried and named his new daughter Michiru; this child strikingly resembles Minagi's vanished friend. In *Kaginado*, Minagi retains her quiet personality and interest in astronomy while participating in comedic crossover scenarios with characters from *Kanon*, *Clannad*, *Little Busters!*, and other Key titles. Her interactions align with her established traits. Outside *Air* and *Kaginado*, Minagi appears as a playable character in the doujin fighting game *Eternal Fighter Zero*, fighting alongside Michiru using a puppet-based mechanic. Michiru switches between "Unreadied" and "Readied" stances: moving but attacking slowly in Unreadied, becoming stationary but executing faster, more powerful assaults in Readied. Minagi commands Michiru to attack from various positions, creating strategic pressure. If Michiru is hit, she becomes incapacitated for several seconds, forcing Minagi to rely on a weaker solo moveset.
