Description
Goemon serves as the heroic protagonist across Konami's video games and anime adaptations, directly inspired by the 16th-century Japanese folk hero Ishikawa Goemon—a noble thief who stole from the wealthy to aid the poor and faced execution by boiling. This historical foundation shapes his justice-driven identity.

In "Ganbare Goemon: Jigen Jō no Akumu," he investigates a mysterious dimensional castle after Omitsu's kidnapping, teaming with Ebisumaru to confront its owner across three distinct dimensions. Each floor transforms him into a protagonist from a different Konami franchise: a Gradius-style spaceship pilot, a Dracula-series vampire hunter, and a TwinBee aircraft pilot, demonstrating his adaptability and combat prowess.

His personality merges hot-blooded determination with a strong moral compass. He consistently opposes oppression and protects the vulnerable, exemplified by his mission to rescue Omitsu. Though quick-tempered, his actions prioritize justice over personal gain. His partnership with Ebisumaru balances comedy and reliability, while his loyalty to Omitsu fuels key story arcs.

Visually, he retains signature traits: spiky blue hair, kabuki-inspired makeup, and a red ninja outfit. His primary weapon, the kiseru smoking pipe, is used for direct combat against enemies. This design reflects his "classic" iteration, distinct from later reinventions.
