Mira Fermin, also referred to as Mira Clay, is a sixteen-year-old Vestal girl who serves as a main character in Bakugan Battle Brawlers: New Vestroia. She originates from the planet Vestal and is the daughter of the scientist Clay Fermin and the younger sister of Keith Fermin, who later becomes known as Spectra Phantom. Mira initially viewed Bakugan as mere unintelligent creatures, but her perspective changed after she witnessed the tortured Alpha Hydranoid speak out in vengeance. This moment made her realise that Bakugan are living beings, prompting her to form the Bakugan Battle Brawlers Resistance alongside Baron Leltoy and Ace Grit. Her primary motivation is to free all captured Bakugan from Prince Hydron and the Vexos, as well as to find her missing brother, Keith, who disappeared during a rebellion.

Mira’s personality is a blend of stubborn determination and a tomboyish nature, though she is also capable of acting girly or flirty when the situation requires it, such as when she fooled guards to infiltrate a facility. As the leader of the Resistance, she is driven and often pushes her teammates, especially Baron, to battle strongly. She is willing to take risks to achieve her goals, particularly when it concerns her brother, which sometimes leads her to act independently and causes friction with other team members, notably Ace.

Within the story, Mira is the first to encounter Dan Kuso and Marucho Marukura after they arrive in New Vestroia, introducing them to the new brawling style and the Resistance. She initially leads the group, but after Dan proves to be the strongest brawler, she passes the leadership role to him. A significant part of her journey revolves around her complex relationship with her brother. When Spectra Phantom is revealed to be Keith, Mira struggles with her loyalty, briefly betraying the Resistance and joining the Vexos in an attempt to stay with him. However, she ultimately returns to the Resistance after a series of battles, and the siblings later reconcile, fighting alongside each other against common enemies. Mira also shares a close bond with her Bakugan partner, Magma Wilda, and uses the Bakugan Trap Baliton.

Over the course of New Vestroia, Mira shows considerable development, evolving from a leader driven by a personal mission into a more cooperative ally who learns to trust her friends. She is a capable brawler, able to defeat multiple Vexos members such as Gus, Lync, and Mylene in individual battles, though many of her victories come from team efforts. Her preferred attribute is Subterra, which reflects her grounded and resilient nature. Mira also appears as a supporting character in Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge, where she continues to aid her allies.
