Description
Lilith is the ancient ancestor of Yuko Yoshida, the protagonist of The Demon Girl Next Door. Estimated to be between four and five thousand years old, she is the founder of the Dark Clan and the one who bestowed demonic powers upon Yuko after the girl awakened as a demon. Long before the events of the series, Lilith plotted to conquer the world but was defeated by the Light Clan, and her soul was subsequently sealed inside a small statue of an evil god, which for years was used as a doorstop in the Yoshida household.
Her personality is a mix of cunning ambition and playful clumsiness. She is determined to restore the Dark Clan to its former glory and frequently commands Yuko to defeat the local magical girl, Momo Chiyoda. However, she often bungles her own plans and, like her descendant, tends to rely on the very people she opposes. She is absent-minded and somewhat mischievous, sometimes suggesting questionable shortcuts such as using telepathy to cheat on exams. Despite being a demon of darkness, she suffers from a fear of the dark, and she holds a great fondness for hot springs and public baths. She also has a low tolerance for alcohol, a weakness that Yuko’s mother, Seiko, has exploited.
