Description
Milim Nava is an ancient and immensely powerful Demon Lord who appears in the film That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea. She is the daughter of Veldanava, the first true dragon, and the human Lucia Nasca, making her a unique dragonoid—a being that inherits vast draconic power while possessing a human-like body. Milim is over two thousand years old and holds the rank of Catastrophe, with the title of Destroyer or Destruction Demon Lord. She became a Demon Lord after her beloved pet dragon Gaia was killed, an event that caused her to lose control and unleash devastating destruction, leading to a seven-day battle against the Dark Emperor Guy Crimson before a truce was negotiated by the Queen of Spirits, Ramiris.
In terms of personality, Milim appears childlike and whimsical, often displaying a playful, energetic demeanor. She loves sweets, especially honey, and can be easily irritated when treated as a child, sometimes throwing tantrums. However, she is far from naive. Milim is highly intelligent and strategic, capable of serious focus and deception when the situation demands it. She can hold back her emotions and use her childish persona to confuse opponents. Her motivations are generally driven by a desire for fun and companionship, but she also cares deeply for her friends and will protect them fiercely.
In Tears of the Azure Sea, Milim plays a supporting role as part of Rimuru Tempest’s group during a vacation at a private resort island. The film begins after the Tempest Founder's Festival, where Rimuru and his companions are invited by the Celestial Emperor Elmesia El-Ru Sarion. Milim is shown enjoying the leisure time alongside Veldora Tempest, with the pair engaging in playful antics. She does not drive the main plot, which centers on Gobta and the priestess Yura, but her presence reinforces the strength and camaraderie of the Tempest alliance.
Key relationships in the film include her close friendship with Rimuru, who is one of the few people who can calm her when she is on the verge of losing control. She also shares a friendly rivalry with Veldora, another dragonoid, and is aligned with the other members of the Octagram group of Demon Lords, including Guy Crimson and Ramiris. Her interactions in the movie are lighthearted and underscore her role as a powerful yet amiable ally.
Milim’s development is minimal in this movie, as she is already a mature and settled character. However, across the broader series she has shown emotional growth, learning about friendship, loyalty, and sacrifice. She is effectively immortal, does not age, and is immune to mental manipulation. Her abilities include infinite magicules, the manipulation of star particles, flight without visible wings, and her signature attack Dragon Nova, which can obliterate entire cities. She wields the legendary sword Tenma and later receives Dragon Knuckles from Rimuru to help control her overwhelming strength. Her unique eyes can detect lies and analyze magical power, while her ears allow her to hear conversations from great distances. Despite her playful nature, Milim remains one of the most feared beings in the world, a living force of destruction who chooses to spend her time enjoying the company of her friends.
