Description
Takemikazuchi, a god of war and martial arts originating from the Far East, leads the financially strained Takemikazuchi Familia. He previously raised orphans like Kashima Ouka, Yamato Mikoto, and Hitachi Chigusa as his children at a shrine there. He relocated his Familia to Orario two years prior to earn money for the shrine's support, necessitating part-time work such as making and selling potato snacks.
He possesses millennia-honed expertise in swordsmanship, spearmanship, archery, hand-to-hand combat, and ninjutsu. Even limiting his divine power, his technical mastery allows him to defeat multiple adversaries simultaneously—such as twenty level 3–4 adventurers or one level 5 opponent in brief engagements. He emphasizes tactical training and teamwork for his Familia, enabling members like Mikoto to overcome challenges beyond their apparent strength.
Takemikazuchi maintains close friendships with deities including Hestia, Miach, Hephaistos, and Demeter. He taught Hestia a formal deep bow and watches her home during her absences. He also interacted with Sanjouno Haruhime during her childhood, occasionally helping her leave her restrictive home to play with his orphans, which strained relations with her father. While Mikoto developed romantic feelings for him, he views her strictly as a daughter.
During major conflicts like the War Game, he actively participates in combat, utilizing his martial prowess to neutralize powerful adversaries and support allies. He adopts a pragmatic and open-minded stance toward cultural differences, including the emergence of sentient monsters known as Xenos, advocating understanding over conflict. His traditional Far Eastern attire reflects his cultural origins, often featuring Yayoi-period garments or hakama.
