Description
Bell Cranel is a young adventurer with distinctive white hair and red eyes, often likened to a rabbit. Born to members of the defeated Zeus and Hera Familias after their loss to the One-Eyed Black Dragon, he was raised by his grandfather in a rural mountain village. His grandfather instilled dreams of becoming a hero through stories, though Bell initially pursued adventuring with the misguided goal of starting a harem. After his grandfather's presumed death, Bell traveled to Orario and joined the Hestia Familia as its first member when the goddess Hestia offered him a place.

Personality-wise, Bell exhibits humility, bravery, and profound kindness, alongside naivete and crippling shyness around women. A pivotal moment occurred when Ais Wallenstein of the Loki Familia saved him from a minotaur, making him fall in love with her and shifting his focus to becoming strong enough to stand beside her. This resolve awakened the skill "Liaris Freese," accelerating his growth beyond normal limits. Despite frequent betrayals, such as being tricked by allies like Lili and Naaza, Bell refuses to hold grudges, extending trust even when warned against it. His low self-esteem causes him to remain oblivious to romantic affections from numerous characters, including Hestia and Lili.

In the Arrow of the Orion film, set between the first and second seasons, Bell participates in the Holy Moon Festival in Orario. He accepts a challenge by Hermes to pull a spear from a crystal, succeeding when the weapon recognizes his "pure soul." The spear is revealed as "Orion," an arrow crafted by the goddess Artemis to kill the monster Antares. Bell, designated as "Orion" by Artemis, joins her quest outside Orario alongside Hestia, Welf, and Lili. During the journey, he uses the spear to annihilate a swarm of monsters but is warned by Hermes against further use to avoid attracting Antares' attention. Bell encounters Artemis bathing; they discuss heroism, and she teaches him a dance while speaking of the "10,000 years of romance" promised to gods upon descending to the mortal world. This interaction deepens Bell's understanding of sacrifice and divine burdens.

Upon reaching the Elsus Ruins, Bell's group battles regenerating monsters to confront Antares, which has absorbed Artemis' physical form and gained her divine power. Hermes reveals that Bell must use Orion to kill Artemis, now part of the monster, to stop its rampage. Initially overwhelmed, Bell hesitates until Hestia's pleas galvanize him. He charges Orion with his "Argonaut" skill, destroying Antares, then shatters Artemis' crystal prison with his dagger, inadvertently stabbing her. In her dying moments, Artemis assures Bell of divine reincarnation and expresses hope for their reunion. This act resolves the monster uprising in Orario and restores the surrounding forest, reinforcing Bell's commitment to saving others regardless of personal cost.

Across all media, Bell's development includes confronting his fear of minotaurs, advocating for peaceful coexistence with the sentient Xenos monsters despite public backlash, and rejecting Syr Flover's confession due to his enduring feelings for Ais. After ascending to Level 5, he exhibits greater calm and strategic thinking, though retains core traits like self-sacrifice and emotional impulsiveness. His abilities evolve significantly: early reliance on agility and the "Firebolt" spell expands to include enhanced senses, predictive combat analysis, and physical prowess surpassing his level due to accumulated high-status ranks. The Orion film specifically highlights his empathy and willingness to bear divine-scale tragedies, cementing his path toward heroism.
