Description
Bell Cranel, orphaned after his parents—a Zeus Familia member and Meteria of the Hera Familia—perished against the One-Eyed Black Dragon, was raised in a mountain village by his grandfather Zeus. Zeus filled his childhood with heroic tales and ideals. Following Zeus's presumed death, Bell traveled to Orario aspiring to be an adventurer and find heroic encounters. Initially rejected by Familias for perceived weakness, he became the first member of the Hestia Familia when the goddess Hestia recruited him.

A 14-year-old human with white hair, red eyes, and a slim, androgynous build often likened to a rabbit, Bell stands 165 cm tall. He typically wears lightweight armor, a brown coat featuring a black chest patch, a black shirt, dark pants, and brown boots. His signature weapon is the Hestia Knife, a divine blade forged by Hephaestus and gifted by Hestia.

Initially motivated by his grandfather's advice to "pick up girls" and start a harem, Bell's priorities shifted dramatically after the swordswoman Ais Wallenstein of the Loki Familia saved him from a minotaur. This ignited his love for Ais and a fierce determination to become strong enough to stand beside her. Profoundly kind yet plagued by low self-esteem, he dismisses romantic feelings from others like Hestia, Syr Flova, and Haruhime, fearing arrogance or consequences—rejecting Syr (later revealed as the goddess Freya) once triggered city-wide chaos.

Bell exhibits selfless compassion, risking his life to protect allies, strangers, and even sentient monsters like the Xenos Wiene. This idealism frequently draws him into conflict, such as defending Wiene against Orario's adventurers or sheltering the falsely accused elf Ryuu Lion. His inherent trust proves both a strength and vulnerability; he forgave Liliruca Arde after her betrayal nearly killed him, and allies with former foes like Mord Latro. Despite his courage, he struggles with fear, particularly of minotaurs after his near-death encounter, a fear he ultimately conquered in a solo battle while Level 1.

His adventurer growth is unprecedented. Initially deemed talentless, he developed the rare skill **Liaris Freese**, accelerating his advancement based on his fervent feelings for Ais. This skill also grants charm immunity and enabled record-breaking level-ups, earning him aliases like "Little Rookie" (Level 2), "Rabbit Foot" (Level 4), and "Regulus Arne" (Level 5). His basic abilities (Strength, Endurance, Dexterity, Agility, Magic) often reach SS or SSS ranks before ranking up, resulting in physical prowess exceeding his level—matching Level 4 opponents as a new Level 3. His agility rivals higher-level veterans.

His combat abilities include:
* **Argonaut**: A charging skill amplifying attacks (physical or magical), requiring 3–5 minutes for full charge. It synergizes with his magic **Firebolt**—a lightning-flame spell learned from a grimoire—to create techniques like "Argo Vesta".
* **Ox Slayer**: A skill enhancing all abilities against bull-type monsters, unlocked after overcoming his minotaur trauma.
* Development abilities like **Luck** (improving fortune), **Abnormal Resistance** (negating poisons/statuses), and **Chain Attack** (boosting consecutive strikes), obtained at Levels 2–5.

Key relationships drive his journey:
* **Hestia**: His goddess and familial anchor, offering unconditional support despite unreciprocated romantic feelings.
* **Ais Wallenstein**: His inspiration, love interest, and later swordsmanship trainer.
* **Liliruca Arde**: A former betrayer turned loyal supporter and party member.
* **Welf Crozzo**: A blacksmith crafting his armor and party member.
* **Haruhime**: A renard he rescued, whose level-boosting magic aids the Familia.
* **Ryuu Lion**: An elf ally he defended during her fugitive status, strengthening mutual trust.

Bell evolves from naivety to leadership through trials: surviving minotaur encounters, exposing Lili's deceit while forging forgiveness, and winning the War Game against Apollo Familia. Pivotal moments involve protecting the Xenos, challenging Orario's prejudices to foster human-monster coexistence. Later, he rejects Freya's obsession despite her godly influence, leading a coalition against her Familia to reclaim his identity. These experiences harden his resolve to become a "hypocrite"—one who kills monsters to protect others while advocating for Xenos' rights. After ascending to Level 5, he seeks to defeat the minotaur Asterius and ventures into deeper dungeon levels with increased strategy.

A significant revelation identifies Bell as the reincarnation of the ancient hero Argonaut, intertwining his destiny with legendary conflicts. This heritage, combined with his lineage from Zeus and Hera Familia members, underscores his latent potential.
