Description
Hawk, born Mild, is a sentient porcine being from Purgatory, abducted in infancy by the Demon King to surveil Meliodas, enabling Purgatory’s denizens to witness the living world through his gaze. This link was later harnessed by Merlin to bridge Ban’s passage to Purgatory. After early years in a forest with his colossal boar mother, Hawk discovered an unconscious Meliodas, rescuing him and forging a partnership that birthed the Boar Hat tavern. There, Hawk’s mile-range detection of leftovers made him indispensable for waste management.

His personality juxtaposes bravado with fragility—boasting of prowess yet recoiling from stronger foes. Unwavering loyalty drives him to shield Elizabeth from Meliodas’s mischief or physical peril, even intercepting a fatal strike meant for Meliodas, which briefly claimed his life.

Hawk’s combat skills include the Super Pork-Loin Illusion, conjuring deceptive clones, and the Rolling Ham Attack, a somersault charge. The Transpork ability lets him ingest materials to morph into forms like the fire-breathing Tyrant Dragon, darkness-wielding Red Demon, or subterranean Sand Crawler, each amplifying distinct traits. Balor’s Magical Eye, replacing his ear tag, gauges power levels, while Merlin’s Monster Block regulates transformations.

Relationships anchor his journey: a bond with Meliodas blending camaraderie and hierarchy, maternal dependence on his towering boar parent, and dynamic ties to the Seven Deadly Sins—clashing comically with Ban or earning Diane’s respect.

In *Cursed by Light*, Hawk attends Meliodas and Elizabeth’s coronation and wedding alongside brother Wild, reaffirming his Purgatory ties. The post-Demon King era’s chaos echoes Merlin’s prior exploitation of his inter-realm portal role.

Hawk’s origins as the reincarnated Wandle—a past ally of Meliodas—and his name’s playful contrast with Wild’s intertwine mythos with levity. Aspiring to be the “most powerful pig,” he balances vanity and gluttony for scraps against an undercurrent of tenacity, cementing his role as both jester and steadfast ally.
