Description
Diane, the Serpent's Sin of Envy within the legendary Seven Deadly Sins, hails from the Giant Clan. Towering at approximately 30 feet tall (though she sometimes claims 29 feet), she possesses medium-length brown hair usually worn in twin pigtails, purple eyes, and a curvaceous, well-endowed figure. The symbol of the Serpent rests on her left outer thigh; her measurements at human size are noted as 91-58-90 centimeters.

Around 700 years prior to the main events, Diane left the Giant Clan's village, Megadozer, rejecting their warrior ways. Living in solitude, she fashioned two rock golems for company. Discovering the injured fairy King unconscious by a riverbank, she nursed him back to health. Suffering amnesia, King stayed with Diane for 500 years, forging a deep bond. Diane developed romantic feelings, leading to a promise that King would always love her if she caught him during a game. After she succeeded, King regained his memories and erased Diane's recollection of their centuries together using a magical flower, seeking to shield her from his past conflicts.

Approximately 34 years later, Diane returned to the Giant Clan and trained under the warrior Matrona alongside another giantess, Dolores. Unhappy with Matrona's intent to make her the clan's strongest warrior, Diane attempted to flee with Dolores, who refused, believing the village their only sanctuary. Diane departed alone, facing discrimination from the Knights of the Golden Wheats until Meliodas intervened, treating her with kindness and making her feel accepted despite her size. Returning to the village, she learned Dolores had been killed by mountain bandits during a bodyguarding assignment arranged by Matrona. In grief and rage, Diane struck Matrona.

Later, Diane and Matrona were deceived by the Knights of Liones into serving as mercenaries. The knights betrayed them, aiming to kill Matrona for prestige. Matrona sacrificed herself to save Diane from a poisoned arrow, defeating numerous knights before succumbing. Diane was falsely accused of Matrona's murder and the deaths of 330 Holy Knights, receiving a death sentence. Meliodas rescued her and gained legal custody, after which she joined the Seven Deadly Sins. During early missions like the assault on Edinburgh Castle, she partnered with King—neither recalling their past—and faced challenges such as Ban's interference in a vampire battle.

Her Giant heritage grants immense physical strength, endurance, and a deep connection to the earth. She creates golems, manipulates terrain, and wields a hammer weighing 998 kg. Matrona acknowledged her potential to become the Giant Clan's strongest warrior. Despite this power, she harbors severe entomophobia, a fear of insects. Emotionally, she grapples with loneliness and the ache of lost memories, particularly desiring to recover the centuries erased by King. Her personality blends battlefield confidence with emotional vulnerability, often shielding her face with her hair when embarrassed. Initial romantic feelings for Meliodas shifted; she eventually married King, becoming the Giant Queen while he led the Fairy Clan.

In the film *Prisoners of the Sky*, Diane participates in the Seven Deadly Sins' mission to the Sky Palace, aiding the Sky Winged Ones against the demonic Six Knights of Black. She combats alongside her allies to protect the Celestials and prevent the release of a sealed demonic beast, demonstrating her established strengths and loyalty.

Following the disbandment of the Seven Deadly Sins, Diane is recognized as the Giant Clan's leadership successor and remains married to King. Her journey reflects a path of seeking acceptance, bearing the burden of forgotten memories, and reconciling her identity as both a warrior and a figure of compassion.
