Description
Zamza, the 182-year-old son of Zaboera, holds the rank of Mystic Scholar as a lieutenant within the Dark Army's Mystic Legion. He spearheads the Superior Being project as head researcher, conducting extensive biological experiments that merge traits from various monsters. His goal is to eliminate the physical frailties of the Mystic Legion by creating enhanced lifeforms, advancing the project to 90% completion. Zamza modifies his own body to attain a near-complete Superior Being form.

In human guise, he appears as a fair-skinned middle-aged man with short blond hair. He wears greyish clothing beneath black robes secured by a belt, along with a long blue cape featuring a purplish reverse and a matching mitre adorned with a blue gem. His Darkling form retains the blond hair but exhibits tanned skin and pointy ears. This form dons green, brown, and pink attire patterned with yellow lines, multi-layered shoulder protectors bearing red orbs, and a distinctive neck opening revealing pinkish eye adornments. His Superior Being transformation results in a grotesque, gargantuan mutation: green fur covers blueish-grey musculature, he possesses three-digit yellow extremities with talons, a metallic pincer claw on his left hand, a spiked yellowish lower torso, and a bulbous stomach housing a secondary mouth. His face widens, sporting two sets of pink horns and short wings.

Personality-wise, Zamza exhibits arrogance, deceptiveness, and manipulativeness, echoing his father's traits but with key differences. He disregards both human and monster life in pursuit of his ambitions, yet fights directly instead of relying on others—a contrast to Zaboera's cowardice. His defining motivation is an obsessive craving for his father's approval, enduring constant verbal abuse while being viewed as a mere tool. This drives his ruthless experimentation and ambition to ascend the Dark Army ranks. Though initially dismissive of opponents, he eventually acknowledges their merits and accepts defeat as punishment for his crimes. In his final moments, he demonstrates honor by transmitting vital research data to Zaboera and acknowledging his own moral failings.

Zamza's story centers on executing the Superior Being project. Orchestrating a martial arts tournament in Romos kingdom under the guise of a human advisor, he lures powerful warriors with the promise of the Sword of Champions. His true intent is to capture them for experimentation while eliminating threats to the Dark Army. During the tournament, he traps finalists—including Maam—in a bio-prison, reveals his identity, and battles Dai. After Dai damages his armor, Zamza unveils his Superior Being form, overpowering opponents with enhanced strength, regeneration, and energy blasts. He consumes Dai, but Maam escapes the prison and nullifies his regeneration using Refractor Fist, a technique combining martial arts and healing magic. This allows Dai to land a fatal Dragon Crest-enhanced Avan Strash. Mortally wounded, Zamza transmits his research data via a headband to Zaboera, reveals the Sword of Champions is a fake, and disintegrates.

His abilities encompass potent sorcery, including transformation magic for his human disguise and mid-level offensive spells. His bio-engineering expertise enables him to create life-draining bio-prisons and soporific gases. As a Superior Being, he gains immense physical prowess, flight, energy projection via aura blasts, rapid regeneration, the ability to spit glue-like mucus, and digestion through his stomach mouth. Weaknesses include the inability to cast spells in this form and vulnerability to overhealing effects that disrupt cellular regeneration.
